Supporting Youth Identity, Agency & Belonging
A conversation with Beyond Differences' staff & teens on creating space for true authentic youth voice & promoting a healthy sense of identity, and fostering student belonging. With special attention being called to diversity, equity and inclusion and response to cultural crises (e.g., anti-Asian hate, George Floyd). Teen leaders will also share their experiences on finding their voice and developing a sense of agency and what /who helped them take action, as well as what hindered them from taking action. Participants will come away with actionable strategies to engage youth.
