Writing in Middle School = Success in High School

Our presentation will help you understand what middle school writers need in this critical period of instruction. Writing instruction is most important in middle school -- after the elementary years when students learn basic conventions and structures, and prior to high school with its high-stakes testing and the rigor of critical writing. Our presentation will explore writing’s cross-curricular impact and reflect our combined 30+ years as educators, journalists, and writing instructors.
