Edmund McCarthy
Edmund McCarthy has taught English and writing for more than 30 years in public and independent schools, including at The Fessenden School in Newton, Mass., and St. Paul's School for Boys in Brooklandville, Md. He has spent the last 13 years at St. Sebastian's School in Needham, Mass., where he has also served as football, wrestling, and lacrosse coach, as well as director of the Freshman Writing Program. For the past 20 years, his work and research has focused on middle school writers. Mr. McCarthy has studied and earned graduate degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Middlebury College, and Columbia University.
