Educational Reform in Japan: Learning Innovation Project

In 2018, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) launched the “Learning Innovation” Project and has demonstrated the new way of learning using “EdTech”. The project led the results of an innovative learning environment where each student has their own device at schools in 2020.(GIGA School Initiative)

This project has two pillars that “Individually-optimized learning” and “STEAM-based learning”. We will talk about these two concepts and the impact of GIGA School Initiative with two EdTech companies.
