Daisuke Asano

Joining the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2001, Daisuke has worked on multiple topics from Oil & Gas, logistics, crisis management, intellectual property, to local economic policy. In July 2017, he led the reorganizing of commerce and service affairs related departments, later launching the “Education Industry Office” from a human resources perspective. Now he leads the “METI learning innovation” project, promoting open innovation among EdTech startups and schools and collaborating with Ministry of Education and Digital Agency, promotes degitalization in education
