Democracy in Classrooms: Giving Students a Voice
There have been philosophies spanning centuries around students’ democratic involvement in their own educations. However, the flexibility of a broad thesis can lead to an array of expressions including project-based learning, restorative justice in conflict resolution, and more. Moderated by an experienced administrator, this panel will feature three high school students contrasting their observations of democratic education with their experiences in more traditional classroom structures.
