Chris Wilson, M.A., M.Ed., is an education leader recognized for leveraging growth opportunities, building leadership capacity, and developing new models with a student-first approach. In his current role as Head of School at Sora Schools, he's married his experience developing engaging curricula with the cutting edge of virtual schooling. Previously, he has acted as Head of School at Peoria Academy, a PK-8 independent school in Illinois, The Bement School, a K-9 day and boarding school, and the Esperanza Academy, a tuition-free, independent middle school serving low-income girls in Massachusetts. In all of these roles, he has had the opportunity to modernize approaches, restructure administration to better serve students, and improve outcomes.
Chris has additionally served as president for the Junior Boarding School Association and a member of the board for the Association of Independent Schools of New England, the Participatory Budgeting Project, and Leadership + Design.
