Student Voices: First, but Not Alone
An estimated 50% of undergrads in the U.S. are first in their families to attend college, but only 11% of those who identify as both low-income and first-gen earn degrees within six years. In this session, you’ll hear from four first-gen college grads on persistence through community building, critical supports along their academic journey, and established best practices in use by a national nonprofit to increase graduation rates for first-gen students to more than double those of their peers.
