Chelsea Stewart
Chelsea Stewart is currently a Post Baccalaureate student in California where she is preparing to apply to medical school.
Growing up in the urban and diverse city of San Francisco, Chelsea has always felt a deep sense of commitment to the well being of her community. Unsatisfied with the projected health outcomes for members of her community and family, she has taken it upon herself to educate, advocate, and provide solutions for the disproportionate health inequities negatively impacting marginalized communities.
Most recently, she has taken interest in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the impacts traumatic experiences have on children’s development. She is currently spearheading a project with College Track to explore effective ways to manage stress for young adults.
Chelsea graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Neuroscience and aspires to be a primary care physician serving populations with limited access to health services and unmet cultural needs.
