General education is the cornerstone of the liberal arts experience. However, many gen ed programs unnecessarily burden students and reduce students’ ability to explore (outcomes that are counter to its intended purpose). During this session, we will speak with academic leaders who have successfully navigated the process to reduce the gen ed requirements while maintaining the original intent of the program.
