#EmpatheticByDesign

Empathetic by Design

Children with autism are hypersensitive to their surroundings which can make learning daunting. Using research to inform the design of schools & other educational environments for this population has the potential to improve their quality of life. Failing to provide appropriate environments can invoke anxiety, physical pain, & social isolation. We will share research on the current state of autism-friendly design, insights, & lessons learned in real world application and the effect on students.
