Simulations offer immense potential to create memorable learning experiences. This presentation describes a multi-modal virtual experience built around a fictitious organization, Green Ideas, Inc., which engages learners in high-stakes, deeply contextualized language learning situations. This helps them build a repertoire of linguistic resources that can help them overcome complex intercultural communication situations. Insights from implementation in several universities will be shared.
