Julio Rodriguez

Dr. Julio Rodriguez (Ph.D. in Instructional Technology) has published and presented extensively on instructional technology and design-based research, including a first major publication on design-based research in computer-assisted language learning. As Director of the Center for Language & Technology at the Univ. of Hawaii, he oversees projects in technology and foreign language faculty development. As Director of the National Foreign Language Resource Center (NFLRC), he oversees professional development, research, and materials development projects that fulfill the mission of the LRC program, which is to increase the national capacity for teaching and learning foreign languages. As co-director of the Tech Center, he is engaged in strategic planning efforts aimed at identifying sustainable projects and improving outcomes for computer-assisted language learning.
