Sex Ed in Schools: Just as Important as ABCs & 123s
Do you want to find a way to offer sex education to students, but feel stuck? Maybe you’re worried about upsetting parents, or your state restricts what can be taught during school. Maybe your own beliefs or squeamishness comes into play? Maybe you're just not sure what ‘age appropriate’ means, or where to find reliable, fact-based information about bodies, sex and sexuality that will align your students’ needs and community’s values. Panelists will discuss strategies to navigate policies and hurdles with parents, school boards/districts, and state-imposed limitations.
This is an accredited session for CPE credit.Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
