Shilpi Agarwal
Shilpi Agarwal is a passionate advocate for the ethical use of AI and technology, and the visionary Founder and CEO of the DataEthics4All Foundation. She is dedicated to empowering the next generation of AI-driven thinkers through her innovative STEAM in AI Program, which helps middle and high school students develop essential skills in AI, design thinking, and entrepreneurship—skills that will set them apart in an increasingly tech-driven world.
Shilpi's unique background blends deep expertise in computer engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surat, with a Master's in Design (Visual Communication) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. This combination of technical and creative expertise drives her mission to teach students not only how to build AI solutions but also how to think ethically and responsibly in the age of Generative AI.
As a former Adjunct Faculty at Stanford University, Shilpi has mentored and guided countless students in the fields of AI, entrepreneurship, and design thinking, helping them turn their passion into real-world solutions. She’s also a mentor for the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition and works with young innovators at the Santa Clara University Design Thinking Idea Lab.
Through her work, Shilpi has become a sought-after speaker on AI ethics, presenting to diverse audiences such as the U.S. Military and the California Department of Education. She is also an AI Ambassador for Deeplearning.AI, founded by Andrew Ng. Her vision is clear: to prepare young minds for the future by teaching them not just the how, but the why behind AI technology, ensuring that the next generation leads with purpose and responsibility.
