Scott Goldstein

Scott Goldstein is the Executive Director of the DC teacher organization EmpowerEd, an expert in educator retention and an experienced leader, educator, advocate and writer. Originally from New Jersey (the Philadelphia area). Scott has lived in Washington, DC for over 20 years and has dedicated himself to empowering our young people and those who educate them. Scott taught social studies and ESL in Washington, DC for ten years and has taught in public, public charter, private and international settings. Scott founded EmpowerEd in 2017, which focuses on improving teacher retention and works to elevate diverse educator voices in policy making.
