Sarah Brock

Sarah Brock is an independent consultant with over 15 years of experience in the education and nonprofit spaces. She began her career as a middle school English teacher in Houston’s Third Ward before joining the talent team at KIPP Houston Public Schools.

While at KIPP, she led an 11-person talent team, focused on recruitment, talent development, performance management, and new teacher training programs. In 2018 she joined the team at Good Reason Houston as the Director of Communications before returning to the HR world in March 2020 to launch her own consulting business.

Through her business, Sarah supports clients with building critical talent programs and systems throughout the employee lifecycle. She often serves as a fractional talent leader to support organizations during short-term leaves, temporary vacancies, or in the early stages of growth before the org is ready for a full-time hire. As a former teacher and recruiter, she's passionate about rethinking school staffing and working alongside clients to develop innovative solutions to our nation's teacher shortage.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and now resides in Charlotte, NC with her four-year old pup, Kirby.
