TaraShaun R. Cain leads as the Executive Director of the Black Principals Network, an initiative of the Surge Institute focused on cultivating and empowering leaders of color in education. Before assuming her current role, she was a 2020 Surge Fellow and held various influential positions within Chicago Public Schools, including teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal. TaraShaun is passionately committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students in underserved communities.
