Sheila Mehta
Sheila Mehta is an educator to her core. She spent 15+ years in the social studies classroom and now impacts student learning and educator development from her classroom at the LBJ Presidential Library. With a background in social studies education and a passion for teaching history with truth and totality, Sheila seeks to bring history to life through story, relevance, and connection. History is more than events of the past, history is the cumulation of lessons and achievements. She continuously seeks to learn pedagogy, in-depth content, and nuanced history to share with students of all ages. When not in the education space, Sheila enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with loved ones, and serving her community as a Library Commissioner for the City of Austin.
