Amy Patterson
Dr. Amy Patterson (she/her) is Chief Program Officer at Urban Arts, where she oversees a robust portfolio of out-of-school, in-school, college access, mentoring and alumni programs, providing 260,000+ students opportunities to learn the art and technology of game development through computer science, coding, animation, music, and storytelling. She also directs UA’s large-scale computer science education research initiatives, including three federally-funded projects through the U.S. Department of Education, totaling $12M in grants. An award-winning Career & Technical Education (CTE) educator passionate about building college and career pathways through game design, Amy has worked in education for more than 15 years with a focus on student access, student success, and digital pedagogy.
