Elena Korbut

Elena Korbut is the Executive Director of the Partnership for the Advancement and Immersion of Refugees (PAIR), a Houston non-profit organization supporting refugee students through educational-mentoring programs and educational equity advocacy efforts.

Elena’s background is in refugee resettlement, both through provision of direct services and the creation of sustainable programs that support the needs of refugee families and engage the local community in the process of integration. Her passion and commitment for serving the refugee community is fueled by her own experience as an immigrant, twice over, and her work in refugee resettlement. Both drive her work, provide a deep understanding of the needs of the refugee families and inspire her to find new and creative ways to further support the population.
