Beyond Borders: Using Choral Music Education to Connect

Questioning the discontents of globalization matters more now than ever. In addition to historic mental health crises faced by youth in a world learning how to reconnect after COVID, the porousness of borders has magnified social tensions at a time when climate change demands global cooperation to unprecedented degrees. Choral music collaborations can change this. This session explores how accessible technologies can facilitate cross-sector music projects that transcend linguistic, generational, and economic divides, forging a profound canvas for engagement, creativity, and connection.
