Heather Stewart serves on the faculty at Uniting Voices Chicago, a choral music education non-profit in Chicago, IL. She also serves as chair of the Social-Emotional Learning Committee for the organization. Throughout her career, Heather pursued many formative roles as an educator and musician in diverse schools and cities across the country. She gained extensive experience working as an autism therapist and teacher in special education classrooms. In her spare time, Heather serves on the Committee for Equity and Minority Achievement for her daughters’ school district, where she wrote the district’s now-implemented equity policy. Heather holds a Bachelor of Music in Education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters of Music Education from Northwestern University.
