This session is part of the special 2024 Crossover Day. Attendance is open to all SXSW EDU badgeholders as well as all SXSW badgeholders. As always, SXSW strongly believes in the power of mixing creative communities.

Join this meet up for those who believe students should be centered as experts, leaders, and decision-makers in higher education. Facilitators, including student leaders, will lead a discussion about how to go beyond student surveys to more direct and cooperative youth and student leadership strategies that center those most impacted: students, and in particular those who hold marginalized or minoritized identities. The facilitated discussion will include specific student engagement approaches that were developed by BIPOC students, faculty, staff and community members.
