Uplifting Latino Families Through Two Generational Education
Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP), a two-generation educational model, is an approach to education and workforce development that simultaneously focuses on supporting parents and children in low-income families. This model recognizes that the caregiver is the child's first teacher. AVANCE has been doing this work across the US for 50 years. Participants will learn about a unique approach to early childhood education that is family-centered and culturally responsive, ensuring school readiness for children and economic mobility for the entire family.
This is an accredited session for CPE credit.Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
