An overview of Educational Gag Orders (EGOs: legislative bills targeting discussions of race, racism, gender, & American history, banning a series of “prohibited” or “divisive” concepts), all the rage currently in K-12 & higher education. This session will examine the impact of these bills and different ways higher education faculty nationwide are standing up and successfully fighting against them.
