SESSION CANCELED: Confessions of a College Mascot

The early unknowns of the COVID pandemic were just beginning, while a fractured community lost its sense of community. Enter, our hero: The University of Virginia mascot ‘CavMan.’ With no students to wear the costume or athletic events to cheer for, this is the story of how the President’s Office brought CavMan to life, sharing the suit, and reimagining the role and potentials of a mascot outside of sports.
