Counteracting Book Bans Through Libraries

Recording: Counteracting Book Bans Through Libraries, Date TBA

Access to knowledge is essential for the maintenance of a democratic society. Providing this access equitably is the core service libraries provide. Works by and about Black, brown, and LGBTQIA+ authors are being removed from library bookshelves. This session will convene a group of library leaders to look at what is causing this push, how libraries are responding, and how educators, librarians, and community leaders together can ensure libraries remain spaces for people to engage with knowledge.
