Greenbelt Hike with Explore Austin

This is a meet up designed to get SXSW EDU participants out and about on a 1.5 mile hike around Austin's Greenbelt from Barton Springs to Barton Skyway. While on the hike, participants can network and discuss the benefits of outdoor education, nature therapy and, outdoor adventure in education. Topics may include but are not limited to: Benefits of outdoor education, How you can include the outdoors into your curriculum, Using nature to aid in trauma therapy. Participants are advised to bring a small backpack or daypack with water, snacks, sun protection and a rain jacket, and to plan to wear appropriate clothing dependent on weather with sturdy shoes for hiking. Space is limited to the first 28 attendees.
