Algorithms Toward Justice: Reimagining CS Spaces

In a sociopolitical climate that includes voter suppression, anti-CRT and anti-transgender policies, accelerated climate change, misinformation and disinformation campaigns, the proliferation of extremism, and widening inequality, what is the purpose of computer science education? Is it (and technology by extension) neutral and apolitical? In this session, leading voices in K-12 CS education will draw upon their research, data, and perspectives to reimagine an equitable future for CS education.
