Pipeline to Equity: Black/Latino Students Speak

While U.S. colleges and universities have increased the number of degrees awarded in STEM fields, only 7% of med students, 6% of med school graduates, and less than 4% of physicians are Black, and while 18% of the U.S. population is Hispanic or Latino, only 0.4% of U.S. medical doctors are Hispanic or Latino. Black and LatinX students share their perspectives on how to change the systems and transform the health outcomes in their communities.
