I am an actress & performing arts educator with a recent globally published essay titled Why Are There No “Great” Kids of Color in Performing Arts? This is an exploratory essay with personal experiences that examines some of the challenges that kids of color (and educators of color) face in the arts due to systemic racism. In presentation form, I would love to speak about the key points raised in the essay and facilitate a robust, generative conversation with participants.
