Jennifer Randall
Dr. Jennifer Randall serves as the Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Director of Evaluation for the Center of Educational Assessment. Prior to her graduate studies, she taught pre-school and high school social studies for several years. Her research interests primarily reflect the measurement issues and concerns she encountered as a classroom teacher which include the grading practices/philosophies of teachers, particularly differential practices as they relate to students of color, first generation students, English learners, and students with disabilities. She is especially interested in the ways in which assessments take into consideration, and impact, historically marginalized populations in the U.S. and abroad. Currently, she is investigating the differential impact of licensure examinations on the certification rates of prospective teachers of color; and the resulting consequences on the learning experiences of students of color.
