A New Roadmap for K-12 History & Civics Education

A cross-ideological, demographically and professionally diverse national network of 300+ scholars, educators, and practitioners have created a roadmap for excellence in civic and history education for all K-12 students. Funded by $1.1mm from NEH and U.S. Department of Education and led by ASU, Harvard, iCivics, and Tufts, the Educating for American Democracy initiative gives national guidance on content and instructional strategies that are a starting point for the design of state standards, curricula, and resources.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
