Lauren Amos
Lauren Amos is a learning scientist and design researcher with two decades of experience in program evaluation and technical assistance with a focus on programs and initiatives designed to address disparities and disproportionality in PK-16 education, STEM talent development, juvenile justice, and the child welfare system. Dr. Amos’ work applies behavioral and social science research and evaluation methods (e.g., cognitive mapping, quasi-experimental designs, usability testing, data visualization, web and learning analytics, implementation fidelity assessment, cost-utility analysis) to help such clients as the U.S. Department of Education, National Science Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and New York City Public Schools develop their internal capacity and infrastructure to monitor and evaluate the social (e.g., workforce development), technological (e.g., commercialization of research), and/or economic (e.g., school funding) impact of their investments.
