Suzanne Maynard Miller
Suzanne is a playwright who writes for both children and adult audiences. Her work has been seen in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Singapore, Hong Kong, and throughout the UK. Current projects include a musical stage adaptation of David McKee’s Elmer (with composer Allison Leyton-Brown). Her musical adaptation of Leo Lionni’s Frederick (with composers Sarah Durkee and Paul Jacobs) was published by Dramatic Publishing in 2015 and received a “Distinguished Play” award from the American Alliance for Theatre and Education in 2016.
Suzanne is on the English faculty at the New York City College of Technology (CUNY). She has taught at Brown University and at the Rhode Island School of Design, and has been a visiting artist in public schools and in prisons. Suzanne received her BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania and her MFA in creative writing from Brown University. She was an original company member of Annex Theater and Annex Improv in Seattle.
