Jamie Lounsbury

After graduating from Texas State University, with a degree in Social Work and Psychology, Jamie taught in Asia for several years and realized she had a passion for working with high needs children in the foster care system. Jamie returned to the states and worked at Helping Hand Home for Children as a direct care staff, meeting the daily needs of the children living there and utilizing trauma-informed care to help in moments of crisis. She transitioned into the role of Education and Intake Manager seven years ago and has worked closely with Austin Independent School District and the University Charter School since this time, to ensure the educational needs of our high needs students are met.
