SO UNLADYLIKE: Elevating Hidden History of US Women

At a time when the role of women has entered the national conversation with renewed rigor and visibility, and interest in stories of women is at an all-time high, only 15% of figures in history textbooks are women. Using clips from the upcoming PBS series SO UNLADYLIKE, this panel will honor the 2020 women’s suffrage centennial, discuss the importance of understanding women’s history as American history, and explore how to use media to creatively introduce unsung American heroines to Gen Z.
