Achieving Inclusion in Higher Education
As young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) reach adulthood, they aspire to live, learn, and work in the community, but are often excluded from many opportunities. In fall 2019, Texas A&M University will launch Aggie ACHIEVE, a four-year residential postsecondary program, to prepare students with IDD for meaningful employment and radically redefine inclusion in higher education. We will share research and reflections of the first year, including student perspectives.
