The Seven C's of Learning: Moving Beyond Content

For centuries, content knowledge has been king. Its objectivity and ease of assessment has been overwhelmingly embraced by the educational system. But understanding content is only one piece of learning. By also utilizing activities that examine context, that build connections, that explore concepts, that analyze composition, that encourage critique, and that offer opportunities to create, educators can go beyond the content and design a classroom where learning has both breadth and depth.
