Tools for Intergroup Dialogue & Building Empathy
How do we create conversational structures that allow students to talk about challenging topics? How do we center marginalized voices in the process? In this session, participants will explore the role of social identity in effective communication and learn how to use constructive discomfort as a tool for facilitating difficult conversations across difference and building empathy in students.
