Kelly Cordeira, MPH is an epidemiologist in CDC’s Epidemiology Workforce Branch where she leads education programs and partnerships focused on attracting young people to the field of public health—from equipping K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) teachers with public health knowledge and educational tools to bring back to their classrooms, to introducing medical and veterinary students to public health through experiential learning. Over the last 5 years, she has directly influenced over 250 student clinicians, 450 STEM teachers, and an estimated 1 million K-12 students worldwide.
