Teach the Nature of Science, Without Starting Over

Mar 5, 2019

1:30pm – 3:30pm CT

Nature of Science (NOS) is a big, perhaps intimidating, shift from the linear scientific method most of us were taught. As a science educator and comedian, I will break down the importance of NOS, how to infuse it in curriculum, and how it addresses misconceptions within and about science. Participants will find ways they already use NOS in current practices, collaboratively brainstorm intentional use of NOS, and leave with action plans to implement NOS in their own classrooms and programs.
