Storytelling & Confronting Institutional Racism

Mar 5, 2019

5:00pm – 6:00pm CT

Historically our education institutions have worked to silo particular experiences. The book As We Saw It and film Still Overcoming are examples of a story confronting problematic history and reconciling contemporary unjustices. Both are examples of narratives shaping conversations of inclusion and equity. This panel invites participants to join the book and film creators and subjects in exploring how to drive cultural change education and cultivate spaces where diverse students feel included.
