Lessons Learned in Scaling Competency-Based PD
Beginning in 2017, El Paso ISD and TEG set out to build a more effective and reliable model for teacher PD to successfully scale the district’s pioneer Dual Language program. This effort began with a pilot and has expanded to implementation in 14 schools across the district. Explore lessons learned from El Paso’s unique use case, and how these findings can impact the broader movement to provide educators with high-quality, trackable, and scalable competency-based PD in diverse district programs.
