As the debate about how to keep students safe in American schools continues to reverberate around the country, privacy experts have spoken about the risks of sacrificing students' privacy rights in the name of security. But are the two mutually exclusive? Recent news articles have highlighted the privacy risks of allowing law enforcement unfettered discretion regarding security and the limits of its effectiveness. Privacy IS possible. This panel will discuss how to balance privacy and security.
