Recording: The Immigration Crisis Crosses into the Classroom, Mar 4, 2019

Deportation, the border crisis, rising xenophobia have had a disastrous effect on immigrant families, especially Latino families. This extends into classrooms, where teachers must allay the concern and fears of students, especially in classes such as Social Studies and Civics. This panel outlines the challenges students, families and teachers face and how to help teachers through the use of specifically designed learning materials for families—and exciting new video games in the classroom.
