This session will explore the potential of studio practice to activate the museum experience in an art museum setting. Based on findings from a study on visitor experience and studio practice in a university art museum, the presenter will discuss research-based insights about the value of studio practice as a means of accessing meaningful aesthetic experience, providing attendees with inspiration, and practical considerations for incorporating studio art activities into museum programs.
