Blockchain Applications in Education

Blockchain is an encrypted distributed ledger, allowing for information to be recorded, verified, and shared within a community. Projected to reach a market size of $13.98 billion in the next five years, blockchain has already begun to impact a number of prominent industries. This talk will provide an overview of the current state of blockchain, explore existing educational initiatives using this technology, and present potential use-cases of blockchain in K-12 education.
