Circle of Influence: Support for Adverse Childhood

The National Institute on Drug Abuse estimates that 25 percent of American children grow up in a household where substance abuse is present. These children are approximately twice as likely to develop addictive disorders themselves, have low self-esteem, exhibit behavioral problems and poor performance in school. The session will emphasize the importance on knowing the story of each child in your circle of influence through asking why and capitalizing on opportunities to build relationships.
